Role Summary
Lead the IT Project management function and develop the IT portfolio and associated programmes, to support the delivery of the IT strategy.
Salary:
£49,134.40 (pro rata of £61,418 fte)
Hours of Work:
28 hours per week

1 year FTC
Role Specific Responsibilities
Develop a governance framework to ensure consistency and quality in the delivery of projects
Implement best practice project management standards and methodologies within the organisation
Line manage IT project management staff
Collaborate within the organisation and coach operational experts on best practice project delivery and management
Play a leading role in business transformation by assisting teams to review and design processes for integration into centralised systems
Prepare (and potentially present) project management documents for the Major Projects Board
Manage and oversee the development of IT solutions in accordance with business requirements, including coordination of internal and external resources
Coordinate appropriate user acceptance testing and data quality assurance.
Participate in the strategic planning of IT solutions across the business, including the role of technology in driving efficiencies.
Develop an IT communication strategy to ensure that the organisation is informed and engaged on the IT project portfolio. Work with the Lead IT Developer on a communication strategy for IT support, outages and maintenance activities.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners, ensuring their active engagement in the development and implementation of IT projects.
Partner closely with key suppliers and housing associations, fostering a collaborative culture that advances the business.
Identify risks and mitigation actions relating to IT systems and raise these as appropriate with the project sponsor and the Major Projects Board.
Keep up to date with relevant new initiatives both within and outside the sector and cascade these to the appropriate staff.
Monitor vendor product development, understanding the impact on other IT systems and the potential benefits for the business.
Education & Qualifications
Project Management qualification.
Proven knowledge and experience of successfully working in a project environment.
Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365 and of IT systems in a work environment, including best practice.
Proven experience of analysing business processes and information and producing process maps.
Proven experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
Proven experience of using systems to support business improvement and efficiency.
Experience of working in the social housing sector.
