Our client is an established main contracting and principal contracting specialist in the fit-out sector, renowned for delivering high-quality finishes and exceptional service standards. With a strong presence in the UK our client has built a reputation for excellence across aviation, commercial, hospitality and residential property sectors. As the company continue to grow rapidly, predicting to expand from ca £5 million turnover to ca £12 million in the next year, they are focusing on building their commercial and finance departments.
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Planner to manage their construction and interior fit-out projects in Windsor and Oxford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain detailed project schedules, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
* Work with project teams to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that labour, materials, and equipment are available as needed.
* Track project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and proactively propose solutions to keep the project on track.
* Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and adjust schedules as necessary to address changes and challenges.
* Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project status, including any deviations from the plan.
* Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and decisions to ensure transparency and accountability.
* Assist in budget tracking and ensure that project costs align with financial projections.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, architects, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Ensure that all project deliverables meet the company’s quality standards and client expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Project Planner, Scheduler, or similar role in the construction or interior design industry.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
* Strong understanding of project management principles, including critical path analysis, risk management, and resource allocation.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
