Purpose of Role:
Responsible for ensuring that production targets; output and quality are met in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Summary of responsibilities:
1. To ensure that production resources are deployed correctly to deliver all customer requirements.
2. Responsible for ensuring all operations are performed within the procedures and standards determined by the Company whilst ensuring a safe and clean production work area.
3. Continuously monitoring the production processes and resources to ensure that FBL are on target to achieve their production targets and to highlight any issues to the Production Manager.
4. Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.
5. Drive performance of your team members, giving direction and constructive feedback to aid good performance.
6. Motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced.
7. Execution of the daily / weekly / monthly plan.
8. Identify risks within the plan and make short term changes to support continuity of operation.
9. Compile the weekly Kitting Plan.
10. Ensure that all non-conformances are challenged and that countermeasures are agreed and implemented in a timely manner.
11. Plan resource absence in line with departmental guidelines.
12. Management of first line absence issues with real time completion of RTW documentation.
13. Support all New Product Introductions to ensure a smooth introduction.
14. Responsible for closing all Production Work Orders within a timely manner.
15. Ensure that all component over-issues against each Work Order are returned to Stores with the relevant paperwork in a timely manner.
16. Recruit and train new production operators to perform their duties.
17. Provide action and closure on Corrective Action Reports, identifying the root cause and detailed actions to address.
18. Conduct annual appraisals and manage ongoing performance with all manufacturing staff.
19. Monitor adherence to working time regulations and breaks.
20. Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
21. Minimum 4 years supervisory experience in a microelectronics, clean room manufacturing environment.
22. Experience of working in a quality environment preferably to ISO.
23. Health and Safety awareness.
24. Ability to work to quality standards and specifications.
25. Ability to sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solving
26. Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction.
