Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Levenshulme
Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This is a full-time role starting in January and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on performance. The pay for this role is £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal development. Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff, you will help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing hands-on support to students who may need additional help to understand and engage with the material.
* One-to-One and Group Work: Offer tailored support to individual students or small groups, ensuring that all learners are able to access the curriculum effectively.
* Encouraging Engagement: Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging student participation and enthusiasm for their studies.
* Resource Preparation: Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources to support differentiated learning.
* Behaviour Support: Help manage classroom behaviour by promoting a calm and respectful learning atmosphere.
* Monitoring Progress: Track and document student progress, sharing insights with teachers to inform lesson planning and interventions.
* Inclusive Education: Work with students with diverse needs, adapting your approach to ensure every child feels valued and supported.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is desirable but not essential.
* Adaptability: Able to work across a variety of subjects and with students of different abilities and needs.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively support students and collaborate with staff.
* Empathy and Patience: A positive and compassionate approach to supporting students’ learning and personal growth.
* Team Player: The ability to work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide consistent and effective support.
* Aspirations in Education: This role is ideal for individuals considering a long-term career in education, whether in teaching, pastoral care, or special educational needs.
