Your new role
15. To act in the capacity of Cable Jointer in compliance with, Authorisation Procedures.
16. Responsible for the Quality and Compliance to Standard of their Workmanship and others working on the project
17. Working on development sites and the public highway
18. Understanding utility plans
19. Undertaking cable jointing and network energisation activities
20. Work with the general public.
21. The role is to be responsible for the installation of electrical connections, working with an assistant.
22. Preparation and use of tools and machinery, preparation of work sites for various works
23. Ensure completion of projects to agreed specifications and timescales
About you
Desirable qualifications/ skills/ experience
24. Cable Jointer – Qualification or equivalent
25. Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card
26. Hold a valid First Aid qualification
27. DNO operational Authorisation Technical status and a qualified electrical engineer.
28. HV Jointer – Qualification or equivalent
29. A proven track record in construction, repair and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV and should have a sound HV and LV electrical knowledge.
30. A good understanding of sustainability and health and safety.
31. A clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel and work in different locations.
32. You also need to be flexible to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather
33. Knowledge of relevant DNO Policies and Procedures.
34. Good communication skills, both technical and non-technical, be adaptable, self-motivated, and flexible.
