We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experienced Housing Support Worker to join our team within our Sycamore service in the Bridgend area. This service provides a housing-related, floating support service for people aged 55 and over.
This role is offered on a permanent, full time basis, working 36 hours per week.
What you'll do
This role will be key in providing a personalised informed service in accordance with our service users’ needs. You will be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy by assisting them with daily living skills to remain as independent as possible.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You'll have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You'll need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.
A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
You'll need a full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle.
