We have an amazing opportunity for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a friendly, Children's Residential Service in Syston supporting children in the ages of 10-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours in the health and social care sector.
*Due to the nature of this role, a full UK Driving Licence is required
Overview:

Salary: £26,000 ( sleeps included)

Location: Syston

Hours: Full-time, permanent contract, 37 hours per week
*
Shift pattern: 3-week rolling rota.
*
Week one- 3 shifts, Week two- 3 shifts, Week three- 1 shift plus sleep in

The role of a Children's Residential Support Worker
*
To build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, well-being, strengths, and capabilities.
*
To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
*
To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.
*
To document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
*
To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
*
To promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.
The successful candidate:
*
Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR be willing to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe.
*
Must be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in young people's lives, creating a safe space and building resilience.
*
Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children & young people.
*
Flexibility to commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
*
Relevant experience working with children & young people is desirable, but not essential with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
