Person specification
Training and qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Doctoral level training in applied psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
Desirable criteria
2. Pre qualification training and qualifications in research methodology or other fields of applied psychology
Experience
Essential criteria
3. Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across full range of care settings including mental health
4. Further specialist training or experience whilst working as a clinical psychologist
Desirable criteria
5. Experience of application of clinical psychology in physical and mental health setting which may include maternity or CAMHS
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
6. Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological methods and intervention
Desirable criteria
7. high level knowledge of theory and practice of at least 2 specialised psychological therapies
Other
Essential criteria
8. Ability to teach and train others using a variety of complex multi media materials
Desirable criteria
9. experience of working in a multi cultural framework
