Job Description - Nursery Classroom Assistant
As a Nursery Classroom Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily activities of our nursery. You will work closely with our experienced staff to provide high-quality care and education for our children.
Key Responsibilities for a Nursery Classroom Assistant
Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities.
* Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development.
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
* Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and inviting classroom environment.
* Observing and recording children's progress and sharing this information with the team and parents.
* Assisting with meal times and personal care routines as needed.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with young children.
* Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
* A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare) is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.
* An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
