Embrace Excellence
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit two Senior Warehouse Operators to join the team at The Macallan Estate, with the Mature Spirit and New Make Spirit teams. The warehousing team carry out a variety of key tasks involving New Make Spirit, Mature Spirit and Cask Quality and Compliance with a dayshift and backshift in place to support delivery of operational requirements. The current vacancies are on dayshift within the Mature Spirit and New Make Spirit teams. A key aspect of the role is to lead by example and ensure all aspects of operations are carried out safely, in an efficient manner and to the highest quality standard. The roles report to the Warehouse Operations Team Leader and covers Macallan and Parkmore sites.
Make an Impact
Key tasks and responsibilities of a Senior Warehouse Operator role include:
9. Responsible for day-to-day warehouse security
10. Responsible for overall warehousing standards
11. Identify, plan and support the training and development of warehouse operators
12. Ensure team delivers KPI’s safely, efficiently and to the highest standard at all times by following documented procedures
13. Organise day to day activities of team and delegate tasks accordingly
14. Direct warehousing tasks as a member of the team
15. Support and drive continuous improvement
16. Decide on action to be taken in the event of day-to-day warehouse operational problems
17. Loading and unloading full and empty casks from transport vehicles
18. Filling casks with New Make Spirit.
19. Filling casks with Mature Spirit as part of a racking operation
20. Responsible for tanker receipt, loading and despatch
21. Responsible for spirit accounts and reduction
22. Cask sampling and regauging
23. Disgorging mature casks
24. Cask destowing and stowing
25. Using a barcode gun system to track cask movements, casks details and operational events
26. Using a variety of computer systems to ensure traceability of maturing stock and samples
27. Monitor cask conditions during the maturation process and take action to minimise losses
28. Operating equipment such as FLT, tractor/trailer, stacker
29. Identify and report any warehouse, equipment maintenance requirements
Your Talent and Skills
To be successful in this role you are capable of undertaking the manual tasks required within this role and be able to adopt new technologies. You are willing and eager to be part of a high performing team, bringing a good work ethic and positive attitude to the role. You have the ability to lead, coach and provide performance feedback to a team. You are IT literate with strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. You have H&S awareness and suitable qualification i.e. IOSH Managing Safely is desirable. Due to the nature of the role and multiple sites, a full clean driving licence is required.
