A leading Civil & Structural Engineering organisation in the North East are looking to recruit for a Senior Structural Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Structural Engineer will take ownership managing a busy Structural Engineering team.

Roles and Responsibilities
Senior Structural Engineer
* Overseeing, reviewing and signing off on engineering designs and reports
* Liaising & working closely with internal & external stakeholders (authorities, contractors, clients etc)
* Carrying out structural surveys and supporting with bid/tendering processes
* Managing and mentoring a team of Civil & Structural Engineers
* Preparation of fee proposals for Director authorisation
* Overall responsibility for delivery of projects
* Other business development activities such as identifying opportunities and networking
Skills and Experience
Senior Structural Engineer
* Minimum 8 years structural design experience
* MEng in structural engineering or a first degree in a related discipline
* Chartered Membership or Associate Membership of the ICE or IStructE or working towards with submission within 12 months
* Qualitative and quantitative experience in building structures
* Competent Designer with MasterSeries/Tekla experience
* Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication skills
