If you are passionate about world-leading space-based technology, thrive on big challenges with broad impact, and want to join a team tasked with continuously innovating to take the business to a completely new level, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you Role/Responsibilities: Lead the design of mounting arrangements for optics Review mounting arrangements designed by sub-contractors Assist with requirements management of opto-mechanical technologies, as well as requirement derivation and reviews Conduct a range of opto-mechanical analysis (e.g. tolerance, thermal, static, dynamic) Design mechanical components Support verification and testing Produce gate review documentation Liaise with stakeholders to ensure high quality standards are met across the development lifecycle Produce designs using CAD packages Experience Required: Knowledge of precision mechanical mounting of optics for structural, dynamic and thermal environments Ability to review opto-mechanical designs Competent with CAD packages Experience of opto-mechanical design and analysis Knowledge of requirements management Experience preparing and presenting design documentation for gate reviews Benefits: Competitive Salary dependent on experience Superb campus working environment 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays as standard – with the opportunity to purchase up to 5 days additional leave.
