Technical project manager sought to drive technical development across projects and products, ensuring outputs meet client needs and internal resources are used effectively.
Working closely with technology, delivery, and business development teams, the successful candidate will be at the forefront of helping to decide product strategy and development roadmap.
This is an office-based position, with presence in the office critical for success.
* Develop an understanding of products and technical capabilities, acting as a trusted representative in project delivery.
* Communicate proactively with team members to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and unblock issues.
* Identify and mitigate technical project risks.
* Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, acting as technical point of contact in regular project meetings.
* Ensure development is prioritised correctly to meet project requirements, budget, and timelines.
* Assist senior management team with day-to-day management of technical resources.
Required qualifications and experience include:
* 5+ years proven experience delivering complex software projects.
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Clear aptitude and appetite for managing technical resources and external stakeholders.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and well-organised.
* Strong client and outcome-focused work ethic.
* Experience in rail or similar industry is desirable.
* Flexible and adaptable style of approach but with meticulous and systematic attention to detail when it matters.
* Strong written communication skills, including document/specification writing.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive to various UK site locations occasionally.
