Mobile Warden (P01805)Job IntroductionMain ResponsibilitiesThe Ideal CandidatePackage DescriptionMobile Warden (Welwyn Garden City)(P01805)Fixed Term to 30.06.2025Starting salary £27,544 pro rata with potential progression to £29,383 pro rata on achieving designated skills and experience 2 x 8-hour days (8-hour day is followed by a 16-hour standby duty)Our Mobile Wardens do essential work. They play a key role in delivering an emergency response service to the most vulnerable residents in our community - 24 hours a day, 7 day a week, 365 days per year. Giving peace of mind to service users and to their families, you will join a small but passionate team providing an essential service to our sheltered housing and community alarm clients in the borough of Welwyn Hatfield. You will work your 8-hour day out in the community and the 16-hour standby from home, responding to emergencies as required.You will be the first response in emergencies, reacting quickly to calls and providing advice and guidance, as well as making the necessary calls to the required services and family members. You will need to maintain comprehensive records ensuring all appropriate agencies have up to date information. Above all else, it will be up to you to promote and secure the independence, dignity, security, privacy and wellbeing of all residents that you interact with. This is an active, responsive role and you will need to prioritise your workload and be able to make clear decisions sometimes in difficult circumstances.We are looking for someone who is calm and empathetic and who can respond positively and proactively to sometimes challenging situations. If you feel you can make a difference, this could be the role for you.Due to the nature of the job, it is essential that you have a current driving licence and use of a car.
