About the Opportunity
BEPPS2 is a PPP Major Project to design and construct a new mechanical handling waste storage facility that will safely store waste packages for many years to come. The project status is currently at detailed design.
The APEM leads and directs a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver a technical solution that meets the corresponding requirements, associated performance conditions and constraints in the Functional Specification for the area, to the agreed time, cost and quality. The APEM operates within the overarching arrangements as defined by the PEM.
For BEPPS2, this opportunity is to be the APEM for Site Establishment - management of the following key areas is required:
1. Planning Application
2. CLAIRE code of practice/ spoil management
3. Welfare facilities
4. Environmental impact / water discharge
5. Existing building refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Delivery of design solutions that meet the requirements within the agreed budget, timeframe and quality.
7. Ensuring all technical, safety and engineering risks/ opportunities for the area are identified, owned and managed.
8. Ensuring management of boundaries, interfaces, and dependencies relating to their scope.
9. Ensuring design resource strategy (as defined by the PEM) is implemented in the area.
10. Provide engineering input to the work scope definition for other disciplines in their area.
