A great opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support the Vice Principal of Finance at Barnsley College. This is a varied and unique role, encompassing Finance, Personal Assistant and Administration duties all in one.
The opportunity
We are looking for a meticulous, professional Finance Personal Assistant to work in the Leadership and Management Department, alongside a great team of 4 other PA’s, assistants, and secretaries. This is a fast paced and wide-ranging position, where you will have the autonomy to make the role your own. Main duties include:
1. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
2. Monitoring a budget for the Executive team, overseeing expenditure and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
3. Hold responsibility for incoming and outgoing correspondence and respond on behalf of the senior post holder of the Executive Team
4. Working closely with and supporting the Vice Principal of Finance on a 1:1 basis
5. Gather and collate financial information to deadlines
6. Represent the Vice Principal when dealing with queries, complaints and suggestions both internally and externally in a professional manner
7. Organise and co-ordinate diaries, meetings, travel and accommodation

About you
The ideal candidate should have the ability to create spreadsheets and use financial functions, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, communicate both written and verbally, be adaptable and able to work at pace. You must be willing to learn and have a desire to improve systems.
