What you’ll be doing

You will be using your pricing and underwriting skills and experience to help us to evidence that we are in control, and when the unexpected does occur that we resolve this quickly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
1. Evidencing that we are operating within all legislation, regulation and a strong internal governance and control framework, and that it is being followed across the Motor tribes. This will be a combination of reporting, oversight of processes, providing challenge to new initiatives and more…
2. Consideration of how we can continuously improve our control processes, also ensuring efficiency and consistency with other products. Act as a role model for effective controls and governance at all times.
3. Presentation of findings to senior business leadership on compliance and control outcomes.
4. Triaging and managing any incidents/defects that occur, liasing with other Pricing and Customer Operations teams to ensure that the issue is fully understood. This includes root cause investigation, and identification of fixes which are delivered at pace.
What we are looking for
We are keen to meet enthusiastic, passionate and curious individuals, and are open to hear from those with pricing, underwriting and pricing implementation backgrounds
5. Strong understanding of the components of a pricing algorithms and application of underwriting rules
6. ideally with experience of managing changes to these algorithms
7. Understanding of key legislation and regulation applying to motor insurance and how this impacts pricing algorithms, models, customer premiums and experience.
8. Strong problem solving and investigation skills
9. Ability to communicate complex information in a simple way
10. Ideally experience of Radar, or alternative pricing software
11. Ideally experience of data manipulation using languages, such as SQL or Python.
