Our client, a prestigious 4-star venue located in Bracknell, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join their team. As a key player in the hospitality industry, our client is committed to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for their guests.
This is a busy, demanding role and will require a proven record in a similar position. Responsible for every aspect of organising meetings, events, and conferences, from taking initial enquiries to ensuring a perfect execution of the event on the day.
Key Responsibilities
11. Manage meeting and events reservations
12. Maintain a good relationship with all corporate bookers, conference and hotel booking agents in conjunction with the Sales department
13. Ensure customer feedback is monitored and responded to in a professional and timely manner
14. Ensure that the team handle reservations and conference enquiries with the highest level of customer satisfaction
15. Sending out Terms and Conditions to clients
16. Maximising the conversion of enquiries
17. Following up on business and gaining repeat business
18. Developing existing business
19. Build relationships with new clients
20. Monitoring competitor performance
21. Ensure clients are receiving the highest level of service, to ensure client satisfaction
22. Manage payroll costs for the department
23. Create an environment which promotes employee's morale and encourages the team to have a pride and commitment in the department
24. Managing team appraisals
25. Co-ordinate the recruitment, inductions and training of department staff
26. Identifying training needs within the team
27. Be actively involved in the creation and implementation of the hotel sales plan
28. Handling complaints
29. Ensuring maximum potential yield over twelve months is achieved, using yield techniques
30. Finalise end of month reports for the board of directors
31. Positively approach sales opportunities in order to maximise sales revenue in order to meet and exceed budgeted sales targets for the department
32. Investigate any deficiencies against budget in the P&L document
33. Bi-weekly and quarterly forecasts
The Ideal Candidate:
34. Previous experience of managing a team
35. Superb customer service, communication and organisational skills
36. A strong focus on meeting business targets for revenue and occupancy
37. Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Opera Sales and/or Delphi
38. Demonstrate pro-active selling and effective conversion of enquiries to bookings
39. Establish and maintain strong working relationships both with colleagues, clients and suppliers
40. Have an eye for detail and an excellent knowledge of our competitors in order to promote facilities to their full potential
41. Strong leadership skills with a positive, friendly attitude
