Job Duties:
1. Deliver engaging and effective GCSE and Functional Skills Maths L3 lessons to students.
2. Plan and prepare course materials and lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum requirements.
3. Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of assessment.
4. Provide timely feedback and support to students to help them improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.
5. Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
6. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Maths curriculum.
8. Stay updated with advancements in Maths education and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
9. Support students in their educational and personal development.
10. Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Qualifications:
11. A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
12. A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Education:
A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
Experience:
13. Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Maths at GCSE and/or Functional Skills level.
14. Experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
15. Demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate student progress.
Knowledge and Skills:
16. Strong knowledge of the GCSE and Functional Skills Maths curriculum.
17. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
18. Ability to engage and motivate students.
19. Effective classroom management skills.
20. Proficient in using educational technology and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
21. A postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field.
22. Experience working with diverse student populations.
23. Experience in using online learning platforms and resources.
