So what do our engineers actually do?
Whether you have electrical or mechanical expertise, you'll play a vital role in keeping our site running smoothly. From tackling breakdowns to leading preventative maintenance, you'll also have the chance to contribute to exciting continuous improvement and project initiatives.
This will be working on equipment including; Milk pasteurisation, homogenisers, separators process systems, filers, cartoners, bottle labellers, cappers, packers, blow moulding machines, weighers, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, trolley packers. Palletisers, de-palletisers, conveyor lines (chain, spiral), robots (Kuka), vision systems, Spectrum TX rejection systems / OEMS such as Siemens, Tetra Pak, SPX flow, Elopak, ISOMA, Hueft, Nepas, Grunwald.
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role
8. Time served / apprentice trained engineer or proven experience with fast paced manufacturing environment
9. Qualified to ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent as a minimum in engineering discipline.
10. Experience in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation within fast paced production, process or packaging environment
11. Ideally you will have experience with fast- moving machinery including pumps, valves, motors, inverter drives, sensors, relays, PLC’s, site services system (steam generation plant, chilled water systems, compressors, processes), CIP systems (chemical cleaning plant).
12. Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems

14. The investment at Arla’s Settle factory has allowed processing capacity to grow by an extra 120 million litres of milk a year to a total of 305 million litres
