1. Initiate and manage day to day running of allocated trial(s) in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and RMH / ICR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
2. To complete applications to Research Ethics Committees (REC), Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and Committee for Clinical Research (CCR)/R&D for new research proposals
3. To ensure trials do not commence until all regulatory, sponsor and local R&D requirements are satisfied
4. Ensure delegation logs are in place for trials and that these are kept up to date
5. Set up and maintain training records as appropriate for staff working on trials

Essential criteria
1. Life sciences (or equivalent) degree
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Understanding of clinical trials and regulations governing clinical research
2. Minimum of one year's experience of working in a clinical trials setting
3. Experience of data entry and data management
Desirable criteria
1. Recent Good Clinical Practice training
2. Experience of working in the NHS
3. Experience of working in the field of cancer
Skills Abilities/knowledge

1. Excellent administrative and organisational skills
2. Excellent IT skills including access, excel and power point

Flu Vaccination - What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
