Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Mon – Friday 0800 to 1600 hours.
Salary - £32,520.96 to £35,747.60 depending on experience, plus Serco Benefits.
At Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Craftsperson to join the team on a full-time basis.
Your role will be to provide safe and efficient maintenance of the Electrical services and equipment within the hospital as directed.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Ensure that the Hospital Building, Fabric, Plant, Services and Equipment are maintained to a high standard to ensure continued efficiency, safety and reliability.
2. Safeguard the future long-term serviceability of the Estate as contractually required by Serco, Octagon and the Norfolk & Norwich NHS Trust.
3. Ensure safety at all times and assess all aspects of tasks.
4. Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance to a wide range of Services, Plant and Equipment within all areas of the Hospital.
5. Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance to a wide range of Plant and Equipment.
6. Work in accordance with all relevant Serco Policies & Procedures, Workplace Regulations and Best Practice Guidelines.
7. Communicate to Supervisors or Managers unrepaired faults or defects or requirements for Spare Parts.
8. Attend on-site and off-site training as required.
What you will need for the role:
1. Completion of a recognised appropriate Electrical Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program.
2. Appropriate City & Guilds and or BTEC certification.
3. Proven experience of working in a similar environment.
4. Knowledge and understanding of Electrical Building Services.
5. Good communication and customer service skills.
