Website Manager (Jules Verne)
We are looking for a Website Manager to join our team at Jules Verne.
This is a full time opportunity based in Great Suffolk Street, London and offers hybrid working (minimum of 3 days in the office required per week).
This is a newly created role, therefore start date can be immediate for the right candidate.
As our Website Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our website as an Umbraco superuser, blending your technical web development expertise with digital marketing skills. You will focus on enhancing user experience and improving site performance, collaborating closely with our marketing team and more widely with teams across the business and suppliers. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, implementing SEO best practices, and utilising data and analytics to drive continuous improvement. Through effective project management, you will play a crucial role to innovate and streamline the online journey aiming for best-in-category results.

What you'll be doing:
1. Develop and maintain the Jules Verne website, applying advanced frameworks and best practice to ensure the site offers a best-in-category user experience, to support business growth and user demands.
2. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues effectively. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement solutions swiftly to rectify poor experiences and maximise good user experiences.
3. Use insights from user behaviour analysis tools to create intuitive and seamless interactions that improve navigation, user satisfaction and ultimately conversion rates.
4. Create and manage project roadmaps, set milestones, and track progress. Use project management tools (namely Monday and Zoho) to ensure timely delivery of update deployments.
5. Communicate and collaborate with marketing and business stakeholders. Understand their goals, provide technical insights and reporting, and convey recommendations clearly to ensure cohesive and effective strategies.
6. Implement SEO best practices for improved search rankings. Conduct regular audits, implement on-page, off-page and technical solutions, and ensure the site adheres to the latest search engine guidelines.
7. Analyse website performance data and derive actionable insights. Use analytics tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance site effectiveness.
8. Continuously optimise website performance and user engagement. Perform regular CRO assessments and updates to improve accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.
9. Liaison with wed development suppliers and project managers
10. Close interaction with digital and marketing teams

To be successful in this role, you will have:
11. Extensive and demonstrable experience of using Umbraco as a superuser
12. Proven background in web development, performance optimisation and website analysis tools
13. Understanding of analysing online user behaviour and user-centric design principles for a discerning 55+ audience
14. Proficiency in a wide range of web analysis tools to derive insights improvement
15. Effective project management and task prioritisation skills
16. Strong communication and collaboration abilities
17. A passion for SEO and a background of briefing media and/or SEO agency
18. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
19. Understanding of HTML, CSS and JS would be an advantage
20. A background for travel / leisure / hospitality industry would be an advantage
