We’re looking for our new Commercial Engagement Executive and it could be you!
The Commercial & Marketing team is expanding, and we have a brand-new role for someone to really put their stamp on. We’re looking for a full time Commercial Engagement Executive, to support marketing activity through proactive engagement with internal and external business stakeholders. You will be direct responsibility for writing press statements, finding and creating positive news stories, media enquiries and press monitoring. You’ll support the Marketing team with PR campaigns, crisis communications, corporate accounts and customer-facing activities.
Your day to day will be varied with the need to shift focus and prioritise quickly.
A little more of what you’ll do:
• Respond to media enquiries including writing, clearing, and issuing statements and press releases.
• Develop an annual PR plan for the business, regular stakeholder newsletters
• Plan stakeholder events
• Write proactive and reactive press releases
• Brief and prepare colleagues for media interviews and advise on communications issues
• Support the Commercial & Marketing team on customer growth plans and initiatives
• Assist the team with the development and delivery of the Customer Value strategy
• Assist with media photo calls and launch events
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure timely proactive communications
• Develop an internal communication plan for our depots and people
• Create and maintain strong and effective working relationship with key external stakeholders, including media, corporate clients and Local Transport Authority partners

What we need from you:
You’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and promote a positive culture, with proven experience working and building relationships with stakeholders within the media.
We’re looking for previous experience writing press statements and the ability to understand complex issues whilst translating into effective, engaging communications. You’ll have the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
