Equans is looking for an Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in Salford on a 48-month contract for Media City. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Media City is a contract managed by EQUANS and are responsible for the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Critical Infrastructure Services on site for the client Media City. Services such as Heating, Ventilation and Cooling, Lighting and Power supplies to all Landlord areas. The apprentice Electrical engineer will learn and provide support on engineering tasks to the engineering team across the Media City Estate. The role will involve a structured apprenticeship training course combining both college learning and practical work experience
Impact:
The contract has grown and were looking to build the team by bringing new team members into the contract plan for long-term staffing and to train internally a person with the specialist knowledge that the contract needs.
Complexity:
This is a junior role, and the apprentice will develop over the apprenticeship period as experience from the college training and practical work on site at Media City continues. The apprentice would be guided in their work initially and with experience of maintenance activities be able to undertake these without supervision.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
An interest in engineering and sustainable energy
At a recognised college and committed to working towards an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
Team working experience
Must have the balanced ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
5 GCSEs A*-C, including Maths and English
