Administrative Officer
Location: Chichester
Actual Salary: £18,000 - £19,000
Hours: 30 hours a week, Monday to Thursday
Term Time: Term time only (40 weeks), plus one week

GSL Education is currently seeking a meticulous and highly organised Administrative Officer for one of the local Secondary Schools in Chichester. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school. This role is vital in supporting the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Administrative Team. You will be part of a small, friendly, and cohesive team providing excellent administrative support. You will need to be a motivated, enthusiastic, and vibrant individual who enjoys working in a constantly busy environment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the SLT and other staff members.
* Manage incoming calls and correspondence, demonstrating an excellent telephone manner.
* Maintain and update school records, databases, and filing systems.
* Assist in the preparation and distribution of school communications.
* Organise and coordinate meetings, events, and appointments.
* Handle inquiries from students, parents, and staff efficiently and professionally.
* Support the organisation and administration of school activities and programs.
* Ensure the smooth operation of the school office on a daily basis.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated high level of competency in ICT.
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
