Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore various religious beliefs, ethical issues, and the role of religion in society, promoting respect and understanding among diverse perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality RE lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and resources that cater to diverse learning needs.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
* Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages open discussion and critical thinking.
* Stay current with developments in the RE curriculum and best teaching practices.
* Build strong relationships with students, creating a supportive and trusting atmosphere.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and enhance the student experience.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is essential.
* A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field is preferred.
* Proven experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of curriculum requirements and assessment strategies.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering student success and well-being.
