Are you an accredited checking pharmacy technician with a broad range of experience, good patient communication skills and a desire to improve services? Do you want to make a difference to patients every day?
If the answer is yes, then we want YOU to join the Velindre Cancer Centre Pharmacy Clinical Service.
We are a busy and friendly team. There is plenty of variety in the role and a typical day may involve time in one of our dispensaries, day units, education clinics or wards. All the time supporting our patient population which covers South East Wales. Your initial role will be to establish and implement our new Outsourced Dispensary, after which you will be supported in developing into the other roles in our varied service.
For the right candidate we are willing to support a training programme Annex 21 (See documentation attached), who can demonstrate the ability to develop this important new service, as well as having the skills and experience to grow into an important member of the wider clinical service over time.
12 to 18 months training period at 75% of the entry point of the Band 5 Salary.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the provision of a pharmaceutical service to Velindre NHS Trust and outside the trust under service level agreements.
To dispense Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) and non-SACT to patients under the care of Velindre NHS Trust and to ensure the provision of a high quality, patient focused pharmaceutical service to patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
