An opportunity has arisen within our Specialist Low Secure Forensic Service for a Clee Security Receptionist based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Clee building contains 2 low secure wards - Yew ward is a 12 bedded male acute unit and Willow ward is a 20 bedded male rehab unit.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and welcoming individual, to support the Clee nursing team and admin covering both wards.
Your role will be front of house for Clee building, therefore the role requires a kind, welcoming and helpful individual to greet all staff, visitors and service users.
Due to the nature of the unit, successful candidates will be professional, confidential and be able to care for someone in a non judgemental approach.
Some tasks will include supporting with admin: such as: scanning of confidential documents, ordering items through our e-procurement system, managing the Clee car diary and completing inductions for new staff.
This role includes patient contact as service users will enter and exit the building on both escorted and unescorted leave.
Overall the role supports the security of the unit, ensuring all staff, service users and visitors are safe and adhere to the restrictions of entering the unit.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure high level of security for the building ensuring all staff and visitors have the correct photo ID, management of keys, fobs and alarms and recording who is in the building.
The post holder will link in with the nursing teams on both wards, for ordering items, scanning confidential documents and managing the car diary.
The post holder will be offered monthly managerial supervision and work closely within a small team as 5 staff make up the reception team.
Security receptionist are required to work a rotation of long days, early shift, late shifts, weekend working (approximately 1 in 3) and working bank holidays - including Christmas and new year (on rotation).
