About us
The Network Management Service includes three teams: Network Coordination, Civil Parking Enforcement and Traffic Control. The Network Coordination function ensures the smooth running of the network, coordinates utility, developer and private work on the highway, manages performance and minimises disruption to the travelling public, under the Oxfordshire Permit Scheme.
About the role
We are looking for two Senior Officers within the Network Coordination Team to provide network coordination services for road and streets works, events planning and proposed works across the County.
The role will provide programme advice to Works Promoters and Developers working with them to provide active travel and bus mitigations during the works, manage Section 50 and 278 applications, liaison with Operational and Permit Staff, and assist as required with inspection of streetworks to ensure works comply with the Oxfordshire Permit Scheme conditions, the New Roads & Street Works Act and Codes of Practice.
The posts will report directly to the Team Leader – (Forward Planning) Network Coordination and will provide support to the wider team to maximise compliance on the network. You will also assist with supervision and mentoring of other staff.
About you
You should be educated to BTEC Level 3 or equivalent with relevant professional qualifications or significant experience in this field. NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor Card/LANTRA. You will have a sound knowledge of the latest legislative requirements as they relate to NRSWA. Be able to work on initiative and alone, Ideally you will have previous experience of working at a similar level in Local Government or a Utility.
Staff will be based at various locations across the County including Ron Groves House in Kidlington, which is the base of operations, although we are currently working remotely.
