Our finance function operates at the heart of ASOS. Say goodbye to preconceptions of bean-counters and hello to a multi-functional, business facing department. Our finance team controls the cash within the business and provides support to the business to help it make decisions to lead us to being a global online fashion destination.
We have opportunities within Commercial Finance, business partnering with the marketing function, as well as Global trade & pricing teams to help support with planning, reporting and insights on their performance.
You will focus on developing our internal reporting to provide greater analysis on performance, alongside supporting the business with any investment decisions being made. You can expect to support across reporting, event analysis and ad hoc trade related analysis. Looking at overall market profitability to understand efficiencies and return on investment to our marketing spend.
What you'll be doing:
1. Providing robust, accurate and timely financial modelling
2. Managing the budget and rolling forecast process across cost lines and KPIs, helping to deliver robust quarterly reforecasts and holding stakeholders to account.
3. Analysis into the incrementality and profitability of events to ensure we are optimising our spend in the right areas
4. Partner with your business area and provide financial support for a number of businesses led projects.
5. Preparing reports and ad-hoc analysis/topics for presentation for the Board, business stakeholders and external parties.
6. Advising the business on risks and opportunities that present themselves and suitable courses of action to mitigate or implement
7. Adding value to financial performance through developing and monitoring key performance indicators
8. Producing insightful analysis and spotlighting areas to drive business value add decisions
9. Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies
Qualifications
We love to meet someone with
10. An accounting qualification (preferably CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
11. Business partnering experience.
12. A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
13. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
14. Advanced Excel skills.
15. A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
16. An ability to organise own work and to take initiative.
17. An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
18. Commercial awareness.
19. Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
20. Flexible and open to change.
21. Pro-activeness.
