Your role at BRE
We are currently seeking an energetic and organised individual to join our team as a Certification Project Engineer. You will work closely with the Passive Fire Protection Team to:
1. Deliver certification technical reviews for passive fire protection certification schemes (LPCB and Regulatory).
2. Work in accordance with ISO 17065 requirements.
3. Manage and deliver projects from initial product enquiry to final production of certificate, approval specification and scope.
4. Manage and develop test schedules.
5. Conduct detailed technical review of data against the requirements of LPCB schemes, Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and UK Conformity Assessments (UKCA).
6. Manage clients through their application on their journey to achieving compliance.
7. Liaise with internal departments, customers, approval agencies and accreditation bodies.
8. Participate in internal audits and UKAS audits.
9. Work closely with relevant colleagues to ensure tasks are prioritised and delivered in accordance with customer and management expectations.
10. Attain and maintain competencies.
Your profile
You will have experience of working as a Certification Project Engineer in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or related industries. You also need to:
1. Understand and interpret technical standards for product and quality systems, e.g. BS, EN or ISO standards.
2. Have analytical ability, clarity of thought and attention to detail.
3. Have experience in product testing or evaluation work.
4. Have experience in reviewing and compiling data for products within your own area of technical competencies.
5. Have experience working within a team and under own initiative, whilst working within established procedures and routines.
6. Can work with multiple clients and colleagues whilst maintaining the required level of integrity and confidentiality.
