Branston Ward, Lincoln County Hospital - Health Care support Worker
We would like to invite caring individuals to join our Gynaecology Nursing team on Branston Ward. We are a busy ward whom provide elective care for both women undergoing Breast and Gynaecological surgery, and also provide emergency assessment and care for women experiencing early pregnancy complications and Gynaecological disorders. We have 18 inpatient beds and also see a large number of Women as emergencies along with the multi-disciplinary team to implement and plan their ongoing care.
Main duties of the job
Recent experience in an acute healthcare setting is desirable but support will be given to develop the individuals knowledge. Evidence of learning through NVQ or care certificate would be valuable but the Trust will also support this learning qualification.
As well as delivering care to women, supporting the multi-disciplinary team, the role will also include ensuring the environment is kept clean and tidy to a high IPC standard and that resources are used in a cost effective manner.
They will also ensure that the care that they deliver will at all times be reflective of the trusts values and behaviours. The successful candidate will also be required to support the hospital site in other areas when required, to maintain safe staffing levels in all ward/clinic areas.

1. oLiteracy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Functional Skills level 1 or above ( GCSE grade E or above)
Desirable
2. oLiteracy and numeracy qualification equivalent to Functional Skills level 2 ( GCSE grade C or above)
3. oSuccessful completion of the Care Certificate
4. oNVQ Level 2/3 in a Health Related area or equivalent experience
