The job itself
The front door (Independence & Advice Hub) is going through a new development, and becoming a multi-disciplinary team as the first point of contact into Adult Social Care and this opportunity will enable an individual to become part of an essential service for guiding and signposting East Riding residents to the appropriate services to meet their required care and social care needs.
An enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working in adult social care, who has the ability to adopt person centred and strength-based approaches to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable adults in the community, someone who has the ability to problem solve, manage customer expectations and explore signposting options to help maximise people's independence, as well as identifying those that are in need of more formal services.
The role will involve working collaboratively with professionals from other organisations who may be involved in supporting the vulnerable adult, their family and community.
A professional telephone manner and good IT skills are essential as the role requires you to speak directly to: customers, carers, internal departments and other organisations.
Previous experience working in adult social care would be desirable but is not essential. Training on the job will be given to the successful candidate.
