Our client is an established main contracting and principal contracting specialist in the fit-out sector, renowned for delivering high-quality finishes and exceptional service standards. With a strong presence in the UK, our client has built a reputation for excellence across aviation, commercial, hospitality, and residential property sectors. As the company continues to grow rapidly, predicting to expand from ca £5 million turnover to ca £12 million in the next year, they are focusing on building their commercial and finance departments.
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Planner to manage their construction and interior fit-out projects in Windsor and Oxford.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain detailed project schedules, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
2. Work with project teams to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that labour, materials, and equipment are available as needed.
3. Track project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and proactively propose solutions to keep the project on track.
4. Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and adjust schedules as necessary to address changes and challenges.
5. Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project status, including any deviations from the plan.
6. Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and decisions to ensure transparency and accountability.
7. Assist in budget tracking and ensure that project costs align with financial projections.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, architects, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
9. Ensure that all project deliverables meet the company’s quality standards and client expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Project Planner, Scheduler, or similar role in the construction or interior design industry.
3. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
4. Strong understanding of project management principles, including critical path analysis, risk management, and resource allocation.
5. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
7. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
