Job Description
An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Room Attendant to join the Rooms Department at Raffles London at the OWO.
Reporting into Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining allocated guest rooms and corridors up to The Raffles at the OWO standards, maintaining cleaning equipment and storerooms to ensure an outstanding 5-star environment and seamless guest experience. To work closely with the House Porter team to provide all necessary supplies and amenities to guest rooms, to maximum guest satisfaction by providing an intuitive service. To act as an ambassador of the Raffles Values during your interactions with guests and colleagues.
Specifically, as the Room Attendant your responsibility’s will include:
1. Performing cleaning duties and ensuring care & presentation of all equipment.
2. Scheduling through cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors including all fittings and surfaces to required standards.
3. Carrying out all reasonable Guest, VIP and special requests as instructed by your supervisor.
4. Ensuring all housekeeping and linen stores are well maintained and cleaned stacked according to the shelf labels.
5. Using the appropriate cleaning chemicals on all surfaces as per the Raffles SOPs.
6. Taking responsibility for an allocated section within a hotel floor with supervision.
7. Reporting technical/ engineering issues found in rooms or public areas in Know cross or to the HSK coordinator as and when encountered.
8. Reporting any guest preferences to the housekeeping supervisor/coordinator, and act upon the requests.
9. Maintaining effective communication with other colleagues, the floor team & EE team if necessary.
10. Carrying out spring cleaning duties as directed by the Junior/Floor Housekeeper.
11. Taking ownership of the master key, the duct phone and the computer/tablet enduring you sign items in & out in the housekeeping office.
12. To be flexible in your working hours in line with business requirements.
13. Follow the lost property procedure.
14. Greeting all guest in a professional and polite manner.
15. Respecting the guest privacy by being quiet and respectful in the corridors and the service area.
16. Maintaining a clean and efficient “5 Star “floor section in-line with Raffles standards/LQA.

17. A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.
18. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
19. An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.
