An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified social worker with the Children & Families team in Helensburgh.
You will have personal qualities, professional skills and knowledge which will be applied and tested in all aspects of service delivery within a busy area team setting.
Main duties will include assessments, case management and planning, family intervention and recording and monitoring work using an electronic case recording system.
It is essential that you have a BA(Hons) in Social Work or equivalent, be registered with the SSSC, committed to social work values, have effective interpersonal communication, IT, assessment and writing skills, be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative and have a flexible approach.

If successful you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
The post holder is required to travel effectively and efficiently throughout Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the needs of the service. We offer support if you are currently learning to drive and the council operates a car leasing scheme.
All qualified social workers participate in our out of hours service, which offers unique experience and opportunity to develop skills primarily of telephone based crisis support across the whole range of social work client groups. We provide training and management support to this service role.

This is a full time, permanent post, 35 hours per week.
