In response to increased demand for Food Technicians in Darwen, Blackburn. We are seeking passionate and motivated Food Technicians to support our food technology department who can join us on 14th of October, 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping students develop their culinary skills and understanding of food science.

Job Responsibilities:
10. Assist teachers in delivering engaging food technology lessons.
11. Prepare and set up cooking equipment and ingredients for practical sessions.
12. Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean, safe, and well-organised.
13. Support students during cooking lessons, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
14. Maintain inventory of supplies and order materials as required.
15. Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with school policies.
Preferred Skills:
16. Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
18. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
19. A genuine passion for food education and inspiring young learners.
Requirements:
20. An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
21. Legal right to work in the UK.
22. Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
Please note that this role is unable to offer any Sponsorship at this time.
All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education child protection and UK eligibility including a DBS check and providing satisfactory references. A DBS on the update service would be a distinct advantage due to the urgent nature of some of these roles.
