SEN Teaching Assistant
Full time in a warm and welcoming primary school located in Erdington
The successful candidate will work in a mainstream school's SEN resource base - ensuring that students are effectively supported. Our inclusive partner primary school aims to provide equal opportunities for all students, working to remove barriers to learning and development.
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to students with special educational needs in a resource base
* Work collaboratively to provide appropriate support to students with consideration of their individual needs
* Be confident to work on a 1-1 or small group basis with students, delivering targeted interventions
* Establish positive relationships within the setting with students, colleagues and parents Ensure that students are engaging with learning to the best of their ability
* Effectively manage classroom behaviours, using positive reinforcement and rewards
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification / degree is desirable Experience of working with children or young people with special educational needs
* An Enhanced DBS and 2 references are a requirement for this role
* Have a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
