Your new role
Within your new job as the head of music, you will be teaching, inspiring and motivating students within KS3, 4, and 5 to excel. Your responsibilities will include developing SMART plans, ensuring good practice, effectivemunication, and acting as a leader for both students and staff to help ensure a learning culture. By ensuring good practice, you will contribute to the vision and values of the school.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified music teacher with a broad experience of teaching music to a range of pupils within KS3,4 and 5. This job requires you to be a team player, as well as a leader, inspiring those around you to succeed. You must be motivated to uphold and improve standards, withmitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students paramount. You must understand the needs of SEN students and be able to positively impact their learning and development. Having managed a team before is desirable, but not essential, if you can demonstrate key leadership skills.
