This well-established firm, comprising around 15 dedicated professionals, is renowned for its positive culture, prioritising staff well-being and exceptional client care. As a Qualified Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the firm’s success and managing a diverse portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Client Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, serving as their primary contact for financial and business advice.
Accounts Preparation: Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with accounting standards.
Taxation: Oversee corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax compliance, while offering ad hoc tax planning advice.
Audit and Assurance: Support statutory audit work as required.
Management Accounts: Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, providing analysis to aid clients in making informed decisions.
Supervision and Training: Mentor junior staff, aiding their professional development.
Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
Business Development: Identify new service opportunities or referrals, contributing to the firm’s growth initiatives.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Prior experience within an accountancy practice.
Strong technical skills in accounts preparation, tax, and ideally, audit.
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under deadlines.
