What you will be doing
As Receptionist, you will provide reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required.
A Receptionist contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
1. Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
2. Ensure an efficient reception experience for Guests, including check in/out, and complete audit procedures, as required
3. Ensure that both the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and, or, other departments
4. Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
5. Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
6. Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
7. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
8. Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
9. Follow company brand standards
10. Assist other departments, as necessary
Qualifications
11. Service focused personality is essential.
12. Passionate about guest experience.
13. Strong computer skills, especially knowledge of Opera Property Management System, Microsoft Word and Excel.
14. Must have a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of hotel operations.
15. Highly organized, career and result oriented with the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignments and additional duties.
16. Must work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and handle conflicting priorities.
17. Minimum of two years previous experience in a Rooms department, preferably Front Office operations.
18. College degree in Hospitality management or related field preferred.
