Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join the dynamic team at our partnered school. This role is a full-time position starting in September 2024, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with complex needs, utilising Makaton, and implementing scaffolding learning techniques to support and enhance the educational experience of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students with complex learning needs.
Utilise Makaton to support communication and learning.
Implement scaffolding strategies to ensure students can access the curriculum and make progress.
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.Requirements:
