Our Fife based client are looking for a Procurement assistant to join their team!
In this role, you will play a vital part in managing various aspects of the procurement function and logistical operations.
Your main duties will include:
Sourcing goods, materials and services required by the organisation.
Negotiating supplier pricing.
Negotiating long term agreements and contracts with preferred suppliers.
Placing of daily purchase orders with suppliers.
Controlling operational aspects related to places, times, and strategic planning for purchases.
Keeping up to date with market trends
Maintaining detailed records and accounts and reporting to the Procurement Manager.
Working with and supporting each division in achieving its business plan targetYou will have the following key skills and experience:
Experience in a procurement related role.
CIPS or similar qualification in purchasing preferred but not essential.
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel spreadsheets
Good understanding of Sage Line 500 system or other similar procurement software
Adherence to Company and Regulatory documentation and procedures.
