Purchase Ledger Clerk - Helston - £: Negotiable/generous
Trial Balance Consulting have been tasked to source a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a highly reputable construction business based in Helston. The company has a reputation for excellent staff retention and career development, and this role works as part of a small but highly experienced accounting function.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is broader than an average accounts payable opportunity and the successful candidate will be required to assist in other areas of accounts administration and general office support. Typical responsibilities include:
1. Prepare accounts payable invoices and credit notes
2. Acting as a first line support for customer account queries (telephone and email based)
3. Administer payment runs
4. Account reconciliations
5. Meet and greet office visitors
6. General office administration
7. Provide absence cover for other members of the finance team
For this role, our client is more focused on personable qualities than qualifications, so applicants may be either part/fully qualified AAT or qualified by experience. The opportunity would be very well suited to a candidate with a strong customer focus and an organised, team-spirited attitude to their work. Previous experience gained in a busy finance function is preferred and familiarity with MS Office products is essential. An accurate and methodical attitude would lend itself well to the role.
