Commercial Director required in Essex
GVR Solutions are currently in the market for a Commercial Director to join one of our well-established main contractors, based in Essex. As a company they are a £20M Turnover contractor working all around East Anglia and the Home Counties in the Retail, healthcare, Residential and Hospitality sectors.
Key responsibilities for the Commercial Director:
Risk manage – generally across business operations
Estimating – Estimating projects complete, also overseeing others including decisions regarding estimates to be undertaken and the forensic review of tender upon completion and converting same into relevant bid. Attending Post tender Interviews
Quantity Surveying- Surveying and cost control to live projects complete, including overseeing others reviewing their processes etc
Legal Processes - Coordinate and manage legal processes where required. Debt recovery adjudications, legal processes
Business Development - Developing Leads and Managing CRM, attend Meet the Buyer events.
Cost Value Recs and Work in Progress - Manage Cost Value reconciliations and prepare quarterly Work in Progress schedules and finalise accounts with Chartered Accountants.
Personnel – Manage personnel, Recruitment, Appraisals, complete reviews and annual increases. Industrial Relations.
Subcontract Orders – Oversea preparation and process of Subcontract Orders. Draft changes when required.
Contractual Matters – Review Contract Documents, oversea EOT and L&E calculations.
Bonds and Guarantees - Manage process and risk involved in issue of Parent Company Guarantees, Performance Bonds and Warranties.
Subcontract Payment Process – Review, manage and authorise.
Cashflow Management
Frameworks – Negotiate Terms and provide lead.
Shareholder coordination and interim reporting.
In addition, respond to the day to day requirements of a Company involved in complicated Contractual Arrangements with major National Companies.
