We are now on the lookout for a Site Agent in our Eastern Region to work on Flood Defence schemes, Navigation structures and Highways/ Road schemes covering Cambridge, Northampton, Bedfordshire and South Lincoln.
Main Duties for the Site Agent:
Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors.
Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and project management plans.
Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets.
Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
Manage design co-ordination.
Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts.
Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary.
Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
Understand and administer contract change.
Are you the person we are looking for?
Already experienced as a Site Agent you will have experience in heavy civils schemes with a main contractor working on either flood defence, structures or Highways/ road schemes. You will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent and an up-to-date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. A First Aid at work qualification is desirable.
Must haves:
* Be able to maintain and monitor works against a programme and budget.
* Ability to prioritise own workload.
* Able to run multiple complex and non-complex sites.
* Ability to use Asta / Project for programming.
* Maintain comprehensive records.
* Have compliance with current legislation requirements, including the production and implementation of RAMs and other associated safety/project documentation.
* The ability to forecast cost and programme as well as produce feasibility reports.
* Possess good technical writing skills.
* Experienced in leading and managing teams and supply chains.
Must have a full UK driving licence and be eligible to work in the UK.
