My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company who have been established for over 100 years are now looking for a skilled recruiter with a strong track record in engineering and HGV mechanic recruitment?
You will join the HR team recruiting top engineering talent across various sectors across the UK predominantly within HGV Technician roles (mobile and depot based.
This role requires proactive recruitment strategy development, effective candidate sourcing, and management of the entire hiring pipeline.

* Location Flexibility: Hybrid role with occasional on-site presence for interviews and onboarding / site tours so ideally you should be based within a reasonable commute
* Flexible Hours: Core office hours of 8.30am-5pm with flexibility for am / evening telephone screenings as needed (I.e. 8am–7pm).
* Diverse Industry Focus: Engage in recruiting mobile and workshop engineers across specialized units.
* End-to-End Recruitment Ownership: From job posting to offer management and onboarding support.
About your new Field Operations Manager role:
* Develop and manage recruitment strategies for engineering roles across the business.
* Partner with hiring managers to create job descriptions, assess criteria, and support onboarding.
* Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments, ensuring a top-tier candidate experience.
* Manage job advertisements, candidate pipelines, and employee referral schemes.
* Execute right-to-work, qualifications, and reference checks, managing data compliance per GDPR.
* Coordinate with local schools and colleges for apprentice recruitment and career fairs.
The successful Field Operations Manager will require:
* Proven experience in engineering recruitment, ideally with detailed knowledge of HGV mechanics.
* Strong grasp of recruitment processes, employment law, and candidate assessment.
* Proficient with MS Office, including Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.
* Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
