Developing innovative new concepts in a senior role leading key customer accounts.
Here you will be leading your own NPD projects for a variety of retail, foodservice and B2B customers. Using your culinary expertise and knowledge of the latest food trends, you’ll be hands-on developing innovative new concepts.
You’ll be working closely with your colleagues in the Process, Technical and Commercial teams to ensure all products developed are feasible in the factory and meet the required quality, safety and commercial requirements.
It’s a customer facing role where you’ll need to build strong working relationships, be a great, regular communicator and really understand their needs. You’ll have a breadth of different projects to work on across a wide range of different products so no two days will be the same. Whilst this is a mainly site based role, there is some flexibility around the needs of your projects. You’ll also travel to visit suppliers and customers – delivering presentations on new concepts and forthcoming trends.
We are looking for someone who is always up to date with the latest food industry news, keeping abreast of upcoming consumer trends and new ingredients. An individual with creative ideas, consumer focus and ability to create delicious products that are commercially successful too. You’ll need experience of managing the NPD critical path on your own projects and understanding of retailer’s ways of working. Ideally, you’ll have worked in an innovative, fast-paced chilled food category.
