First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Joinery Foreman on a permanent basis to cover the Manchester area (and other areas further afield)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To Lead by example and build a pro-active positive culture towards HSS across all teams.
2. Reporting back to Manager any defaults/queries in production orders, information errors and quality of output.
3. Support the Warehouse Management with production team sub labour to ensure we meet our targets and standards for manufacture
4. Building features /stands/bespoke elements in warehouse and support the team in Pull & Prep / oversee critical loading bespoke projects as neccessary.
5. Agree a robust breakdown plan with correct labour and resources to ensure we hit tenancy times and return all kit safely and report any defects.
6. Work with Manager to ensure we carryout regular assessment of equipment and stock/materials reporting any faulty machinery and follow maintenance plans.
7. Contributing towards the Facilities management of Company premises by reporting back any defects to line manager and being part of the maintenance of the working area.
8. Ensure all work areas are kept safe and clean and contribute to a clean down process as part of your working day.
9. Responsible to manage all sub hire labour on build and break downs, ensuring the build is going to schedule and all equipment is there and issued to plan.
10. Ensure Sub hire labour follows HSS procedures and report back and log any accidents/near misses.
11. Identify and quarantine any faults in shell scheme or other components.
12. Monitor and control schedule of build keeping manager fully aware of any delays or shortfall in overall delivery. Flexing timescales and team to ensure deadlines are hit.
13. Monitor across multiple services, build plan, Shell/Flooring/furniture working with event manager to ensure all fit for opening.
14. Lead team to ensure all services and components are installed and correct prior to releasing sub con labour.
15. Sign off block plans for HSS and ensure records are filed with Event Manager prior to open of show.
16. Onsite build- supervise loading of trucks and ensure stock is loaded correctly and safely ensuring no damage is occurred.
Skills and Qualifications:
17. Proven experience of working in an production facility, exhibition / event management preferrable.
18. Carpentry/joinery experience essential
19. Full UK Drivers License (maximum 6 points)
20. Works well and efficiently under pressure

Location: Manchester
Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 (£39,000 – £43,000 OTE) + OOT Allowance
Working Hours: Flexible approach to working shift pattern – core hours Mon – Fri 8am-4.30pm.
